Daysy Troubleshooting: Syncing daysy with the DaysyView app

If you are experiencing issues syncing your phone with the DaysyView app then please follow this step by step guide:

  1. Turn your phone off and then back on
  2. Make sure DaysyView has access to the microphone on your phone. To check, go to phone settings, find DaysyView, and be sure that the microphone is enabled.
  3. Check that the volume on your phone is not muted and the volume is turned up full.
  4. Open DaysyView to the calendar display.
  5. If you are using an Android phone please make sure it isn't charging whilst trying to sync.
  6. If you are using an iPhone 6 model or above please connect the TRRS cable to the iPhone adapter (with the small black o-ring in between). Two black o-rings are provided in your daysy box.
  7. Press the button to turn daysy on and then plug in the TRRS cable.
  8. Now plug the cable into your phone.
  9. After a few seconds (may take up to 3 or 4), you should see a dotted line scrolling across the top of the display. Depending on how much data is to be transferred, this may take a few seconds or a minute or so before the calendar days are filled in with your fertility statuses.

If that’s still not successful, please check the following:

1) Do you notice any splitting of daysy's seam, particularly near the port where the cable plugs in?

2) Do you see any wear and tear of the cable itself? Any exposed wiring or splitting?

3) Do you have any special casing on your phone? If so, have you tried removing the case and attempting synchronization?

4) Is the cable able to be fully inserted into both devices so that none of the silver tip is showing?

5) If none of this is the issue, please try deleting the app altogether and reinstalling it. This will delete any notes you've saved into the app itself (including sexual intercourse data), but all of your temperature data and menstruation data are housed within daysy and are safe.
