Basal Body Temperature Charts

Your basal body temperature is your lowest body temperature in a 24 hour period. It is best to take your temperature every day as soon as you wake up and monitor it throughout your menstrual cycle. You should expect a rise in your basal body temperature of around half a degree when ovulation occurs. If you have a menstrual cycle of on average 28 days, expect to see a rise in temperature around day 14.

A limitation of this method is that you may only realise that you have ovulated after it has happened and your fertile window could be over until your next cycle. Also please note that not all women will experience a rise in temperature when they ovulate.
