We recently launched our fertility coaching service to provide ongoing support to people throughout their fertility journey, including those who are going though fertility treatments such as IVF, waiting for fertility treatment or considering their options. People are often confused about what fertility coaching is, which is why we asked our Fertility Coach, Kate Davies, to do a Q&A explaining just that.
Introducing our Fertility Coach Kate...
I am Kate, the Fertility Coach at Dr Fertility. As well as being a fertility coach I am also a qualified nurse with over 20 years’ experience in fertility and women’s health. This means I have the medical knowledge to really understand your journey. I coach with total passion, positivity, and I am committed to helping you.
1. What is fertility coaching?
As I am a Fertility Coach and a Nurse, I can support you with both medical advice and emotional support. I will look at your fertility journey, including lifestyle and stress management, emotional health, and medical advice. I can talk you through the different options available to you on your fertility journey, which can include fertility treatments. This is so you can make decisions that are right for you.
2. Who would benefit from coaching?
If your journey is leaving you feeling stressed, emotional, no longer in control or simply in need of guidance, fertility coaching may be for you. Coaching can be beneficial wherever you are on your fertility journey. It can provide an open, reassuring, and safe environment to discuss the aspects of your journey that are troubling you. I can guide you through any hurdles you may face and support you in making the right decisions for you.
3. What exactly is involved?
A session of fertility coaching can offer a blend of emotional support with mentoring and medical advice that only a clinically trained fertility coach can provide. I can give you the tools you need to help you move forward, alongside supporting you to feel emotionally stronger, and empowering you throughout your journey.
4. What does the discovery session include?
To help you to decide if fertility coaching is right for you, you can book a 20-minute discovery session for £25. In this session I will listen to you and understand the personal journey you have taken so far. I can answer any questions you may have about the service and discuss your personal goals to understand what support you need.
"I have just had my 25-minute exploring fertility coaching session with Kate and I'm so pleased I decided to give it a go, I have now signed up for three full sessions. I didn't feel any pressure, it felt honest and super helpful, I just feel relieved knowing that someone will be able to help me make a plan and help me manage the feelings of slightly losing my mind in the two-week wait...It's really helpful to know they can do my blood tests and liaise with my GP" Cat, April 2021
5. How much does fertility coaching cost?
A discovery session costs £25. All package options are booked directly with your coach following your discovery session. You can now save 20% off fertility coaching packages with our New Year promotion.
